A note from Heather about her trainings:
I've been teaching yoga for more than 15 years. I helped lead teacher trainings in the Boston area, before I opened Sanctuary. And since opening Sanctuary, I have led 6 200 hour teacher trainings in my studio.  I bring years of experience to my yoga teacher trainings - years of teaching & learning. I teach from my experiences in & out of the studio.

In my 200 hour training it is my intention is to teach you how to teach yoga. Sounds silly, but many programs teach you about yoga without giving the time to practice teaching - in my program, everyone is given ample opportunity to practice what they learn. I lead the majority of the training, with support from other Sanctuary teacher, and my school is registered with the Yoga Alliance.

We cover a lot in the 200 Hour Teacher Training, including:

How to teach a power vinyasa (flow) class, but also how to translate this flow into other styles of classes.
Asanas/yoga poses - about them & how to effectively cue them. You'll learn alignment, modifications & adjustments.
The business of yoga & what it means to have your Yoga Alliance certification.
Physical & energetic anatomy, the yoga sutras, mantras/chanting, meditation & more.

At the conclusion, you'll be a confident, competent the process of learning to teach yoga, you'll learn about yourself & make some amazing connections.

If you are interested in teaching yoga, or simply want to learn more about yoga, this is a great a opportunity. I lead this training, but the training isn't about me, it's about you. If you want to do something amazing for yourself, this is it.

What previous Teacher Training Graduates have to say about this training:

"What we go through to become a yoga teacher has the potential to lead to some of the best friendships, most memorable experiences, life changing perspectives & maybe a new career. Complete strangers connect through yoga & learning to teach - each other & in the world after. There are 'aha' moments & breakthroughs, major life transitions & realizations. Teacher training brings about a new ways of thinking, how I see myself & how I see all that I share my life with. Teacher training asks everything of you. It is not for the faint of heart, although I have seen incredible transformations in this amazing group of people through this year. If you even have the slightest interest in it, pursue it. How else can you fully comprehend the magnitude of how much your life will change because of it?"

"Sanctuary Power YTT was an amazing journey . Seeking to deepen my own practice, I joined the training. Heather's YTT wildly exceeded my expectations in mind, body and spirit. Not only do I feel well prepared as a new teacher, but am able to practice these teachings in my every day life.
Truly a life changing experience."

"Teacher training started out as a way to deepen my practice, make new friends and meet like minded people and ended up changing my whole life. I discovered a strength in myself I never knew existed."
